Australian pacer Scott Boland bagged a big milestone on Day 1 of the fifth and final Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Boland apparently shattered 49-year-long record riding on his fiery spell which saw India getting bowled out for 185. At the age of 35 years and 267 days, Boland has now become the oldest fast bowler to reach 50 Test wickets since New Zealand's Bevan Congdon accomplished the feat at 37 years and 10 days in February 1975.
Scott Boland has been a constant threat to the Indian batters throughout the ongoing Test match. He has emerged as the most menacing Australian fast bowler, consistently putting the Indian team under pressure with his incisive bowling.

Boland made an early impact, dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal to provide Australia with the crucial first breakthrough. He continued his impressive performance by removing Virat Kohli. Furthermore, Boland demonstrated his skill and accuracy by dismissing both Rishabh Pant and Nitish Kumar Reddy in successive deliveries.
Boland has been a standout performer for Australia in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He has effectively filled the void left by Josh Hazlewood, who played only two matches in the series.
