Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team are in a spot of bother in the ongoing third Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test which is being played at the iconic Gabba Stadium in Brisbane as the Australian bowlers have once again exploited their weaknesses and pierced through their batting line-up. Rain played a big factor on Day 3 as only 33.1 overs were possible on Monday and at the end of stumps day 3, the visitors were already down to 51/4.
India wrap Australian innings
The Indian team needed to get 3 wickets to wrap up the Australian innings. The lower order showed resilience and added around 40 more runs before they were bowled out for 445 runs. Travis Head and Steve Smith's centuries received final bost from Alex Carey's 70 as they powered the hosts to a big score. Jasprit Bumrah was once again the star performer for India as he finished with statistics of 6/76 in 28 overs

Except for the second innings in Perth, Indian batting has failed to reach the 200-run milestone during the current trip, leaving them looking in ruins. India's technical shortcomings have been exposed thus far with scores of 150, 487/6, 180, and 175 in the four innings.
On Day 3, Mitchell Starc returned to action and once again gave Australia a great start by forcing Yashasvi Jaiswal to hit to Mitchell Marsh at mid-wicket with the second delivery of the innings. As he pursued a wide delivery from Starc that found his thick outside edge, Shubman Gill also left cheaply. Mitchell Marsh made an amazing grab leaping to his left as the ball flew towards the slips.
In the first session, Australia made yet another significant breakthrough when Josh Hazlewood exposed Virat Kohli's weakness outside off stump once again. As he discovered his edge, Pat Cummins also fired Rishabh Pant for the third time in the series. At stumps, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma are on the pitch and will resume the play on Day 4.
