Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar passes verdict on Virat Kohli's dismissal in the ongoing pink ball second Test match at Adelaide Oval in Australia. The batting great edged a short-of-length delivery straight to the slips, bringing the curtains down on his innings just as Steven Smith picked up a dolly on Mitchell Starc's delivery. Kohli was dismissed just after scoring seven runs.

Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar took his 'X' (formerly known as Twitter) to explain why Virat Kohli's Test average is failing.

Manjrekar explained that one of the main reasons for Virat Kohli’s average slipping down to 48 was because of his weakness outside off. He added that the batter remaining adamant to not try another way to resolve the issue further complicated the matters.

"One important reason why Virat’s average has slipped to 48 now, is the unfortunate weakness outside off. But more crucially his adamance to not try another way to tackle it" posted Manjrekar.

Coming back to the match, Australia's Mitchell Starc is the pick of bowlers by picking up there wickets. He got Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli and Scott Boland picked up Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Team India have lost five wickets where Shubman Gill and KL Rahul are the only players who scored in double digits.
