The Round 2 of Jasprit Bumrah versus Sam Konstas went to the experienced Indian pacer on Day 4 of the fourth Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). With the third ball of his fourth over, Bumrah knocked over Konstas with a delivery that was pitched up and went through his defense. Bumrah rarely celebrates but this time he did almost mocking the teenager.

Konstas who scored a fifty in his Test debut innings has been often seeing rallying the crowd behind his time for the past few days. Bumrah celebrated by urging the crowd to raise their voice, just like Konstas has been doing.ย 

Konstas departed after scoring eight runs from 18 balls. In his debut knock, he hit Bumrah for two fours and a six in one over. The 18-run over is Bumrah's most expensive over of his Test career.ย

On Day 3, Bumrah was asked about Konstas' onslaught. However, the veteran pacer said that it has happened to him in T20 cricket. He also said that he could've got him out six-seven times and is looking forward to the challenge.

"I have experienced heaps of it. I have played T20s for the last 12 years of my life. Interesting batsman. I always felt that I was in the game, I never felt that I was far away from taking his wicket, maybe even 6-7 times in the first two overs. But you know, that's how cricket goes. Some days it pays off, it looks good, and some days it does not. I love different challenges and I am always looking forward to it," Bumrah told the broadcaster before the start of Day 3's play.ย

Reddy's ton helps India reduce deificit

Earlier, Nitish Kumar Reddy added a few runs to his score. Reddy lost his wicket to off-spinner Nathan Lyon. He scored 114 runs from 189 balls including 11 fours and a six. On the other end, Mohammed Siraj remained unbeaten for four runs from 15 balls. India posted 369 runs on the board. Australia took a 105-run lead.
