Jasprit Bumrah is consistently delivering outstanding performances for Team India. He recently claimed his 14th five-wicket haul in Test cricket, achieving this feat against England in Leeds.

Thanks to Bumrah’s brilliant spell, India managed to take a 6-run lead after bowling out England for 465. However, Bumrah did not receive much support from the other bowlers during this innings.

Since 2024, Bumrah has become the backbone of India's bowling attack. He has taken a total of 78 wickets at an exceptional average of 15.07, including six five-wicket hauls during this period.

In contrast, other Indian bowlers have collectively managed only one five-wicket haul in the same time frame, with an average of 33.48. This highlights the immense responsibility Bumrah is shouldering for Team India.

With his latest five-wicket haul, Bumrah now has 12 five-wicket hauls in overseas Tests, equalling the legendary Kapil Dev.

Bumrah has recorded five four-wicket hauls in Australia, three in England, three in South Africa, and two in the West Indies. In India, he has taken two five-wicket hauls.

Bumrah now has 10 five-wicket hauls across seven different countries, making him the first Indian bowler to achieve this milestone. If he secures two more five-wicket hauls, he will surpass Pakistan legend Wasim Akram.
