Team India has further solidified their position in the second Test match against England, extending their overall lead to 244 runs. At the conclusion of the Day 3's play, India's were placed at 64/1 with KL Rahul (28*) and Karun Nair (7*)unscathed on the pitch. It was Josh Tongue who gave England a solid breakthrough by getting rid of Yashasvi Jaiswal at 28.
Earlier, Mohammed Siraj's sensational six-fer folded England for 407 after Jamie Smith and Harry Brook's run-athon. Jamie Smith, who scored a robust 184, and Harry Brook, who chipped in with a gritty 156, formed a towering 303-run partnership for the sixth wicket to bail out England from a precarious 84/5 and helped them get past 400-run mark.
