India speedster Jasprit Bumrah, who is supposed to feature in three Tests in the ongoing five-Test match series of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. With Bumrah already featured in two Tests of the series (first and third), there were concerns over his participation in the fourth Test after the Shubman Gill-led side's 22-run defeat in the third Test match at Lord's Stadium in London.
Pace spearhead Bumrah also confirmed that he will feature in three Tests because of workload management. The 31-year-old speedster missed the second Test of the series at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. Bumrah picked up a five-wicket haul in the first inning of his recent Test outing.
After India's defeat, skipper Shubman Gill was also cryptic about his participation in the fourth Test, saying that "You will get to know soon".
However, the pacer spearhead is fit for the selection and will reportedly feature in the upcoming Test match, which will take place at from 23-27 July at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Apart from Bumrah, there were concerns over Rishabh Pant's fitness for the upcoming Test as he got injured during Day 1 of the third Test and left the wicketkeeping duties.
He was also seen struggling while batting during the second innings of the third Test match. However, Gill revealed that Pant will feature in the upcoming Test. As per Sky Sports, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant will feature in the fourth Test.
Sky Sports News also added that Bumrah will feature at Old Trafford, with India aiming to level the series.
