KL Rahul becomes second Indian batter to score more than one ton at Lord's.

Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif lauded veteran wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul after he smashed a brilliant century during Day 3 of the third Test match against England at iconic Lord's Stadium in London. KL Rahul, who was unbeaten at 53 on Day 2 as India were 145/3 after the stumps, took 176 balls to reach the 100-run mark. Rahul reached the landmark with a single off Jofra Archer to covers right after the lunch break on the third day of the third Test against England.

After KL Rahul's fine century, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif took his 'X" formerly known as Twitter to laud the veteran wicketkeeper and labelled him as an old-fashioned batsman who will never be out of fashion.

"KL Rahul shows how colour of clothes or ball doesn't matter if one knows the art of run-making. He can attack but is never rushed, he can defend but never gets stuck. He is an old-fashioned batsman who will never be out of fashion," Mohammad Kaif wrote.

This was KL Rahul's second century in the ongoing five-Test match series. His last Test century came during the 1st Test match in Leeds. The wicketkeeper batter is among the 10 Indians who scored a century at Lord's and is only the second to smash two centuries at the mecca of cricket. Dilip Vengsarkar is the only cricketer who has smashed three centuries at the venue.

Overall, 10 Indians, including Rahul and Vengsarkar, have managed to make the honours board at Lord's. Vengsarkar is a visiting batter with the most hundreds at the iconic venue, which is also known as the Mecca of Cricket.
