Team India is scheduled to lock horns against New Zealand in the 2nd T20I at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on November 20 (Sunday). Dark clouds continue to hover over the city on matchday and the possibility of a reduced game or a complete washout is significantly high. Talking about the weather in Mount Maunganui currently, grey skies and slight drizzle have confined players to their hotel rooms. Also, the first T20I between India and New Zealand on November 18 (Friday) was called-off without a single ball bowled as the rain Gods showed no mercy at the Sky Stadium in Wellington. The relentless rain had earlier forced a delay in the toss and as the downpour continued, the game was abandoned without even the coin flip taking place.

The second match of the three-match series is likely to be affected by rain once again. Heavy rain is expected from 9 am to 4 pm in Mount Maunganui. The match is scheduled to start at 7.30 pm New Zealand time and there is a hope that the skies will clear up later in the evening. It was sunny and clear weather in Mount Maunganui on the morning of November 20 (Sunday) but the weather changed quickly and it started raining. One can only hope that the rain stays away and cricket takes centerstage once again.

India are touring New Zealand for a three-match T20I and ODI series. Both teams are coming into the match following their exit from the semifinal stage of the T20 World Cup in Australia. While India lost to eventual champions England, New Zealand were defeated by Pakistan.
