Suryakumar Yadav accidentally reveals India's strategy.

Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian cricket team is going to compete against Charith Asalanka's Sri Lanka in the first T20I of the three-match series at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, on July 27 (Saturday). All matches of this series will be played at the same venue in Pallekele. Ahead of the opening clash, a video of Surya is going viral on the internet, in which it appears as if he has accidentally revealed the strategy of the Men in Blue side.

Suryakumar Yadav accidentally reveals team's strategy

Sony Sports Network shared a clip from India's practice session where Suryakumar Yadav and Mohammed Siraj can be seen coming down the stairs and following them is Axar Patel who is also carrying his kit bag. As the duo of Surya and Siraj start to jog, they turn around to have a look at Axar. The India captain tells the star all-rounder to be cautious as he would be the one to be seen after the third or fourth over. The video of this interaction is now going viral on the internet.

If we assume as per the video, Surya was planning to introduce Axar Pastel into the bowling attack right after the third or fourth over, inside the powerplay itself. However, this can also just be the Indian captain's hilarious jibe at his teammate.

This series will also mark the beginning of Gautam Gambhir's era as the new Indian head coach. He has taken over the office as the successor of Rahul Dravid who ended his tenure after a historic triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024. Gambhir would be eyeing leading the team to dominant victories in the T20I and ODI series.
