Indian young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal who is currently featuring in the T20I series against Sri Lanka has become the first batter to score 1000 international runs in 2024. Jaiswal has so far scored 1017* runs in 18 outings with a highest score of unbeaten 214 runs. The 22-year-old batter made his international debut against West Indies in 2023. He was part of India's T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad but was unable to feature in the marquee event because of the set opening partnership of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
After T20 World Cup 2024, he featured in the T20I series against Zimbabwe where Shubman Gill was leading Men in Blue for the first time. Where he created a unique record of smashing two sixes or 12 runs on the first ball of T20I innings during India vs Zimbabwe's 5th T20I match. Jaiswal was gifted a freebie off the very first delivery when the Zimbabwean skipper Sikandar Raza bowled a waist-high full toss, which was gleefully sent across the boundary ropes. After that the young batter smashed another six on the free hit as well.

Rohit Sharma
Indian captain Rohit Sharma also comes in the tally with 833 international runs in 2024. His highest score of 2024 is 131. He achieved this feat in just 17 innings.
Pathum Nissanka
Sri Lanka batter Pathum Nissanka comes fifth in the list scoring 791 runs in 17 outings. He is currently involved in the T20I series against Sri Lanka.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently in lethal form and the Indian batter is currently featuring against Sri Lanka where Men in Blue will face three T20Is followed by three ODIs. India captain Rohit Sharma will also made a comeback in the ODI series against the Island nation.
