Ace India all-rounder strongly retaliated to former captain Kapil Dev's brutal comment on current players in the Indian team. Defending himself and his fellow teammates, Jadeja said that criticism only gains momentum when India ends up losing a match. Jadeja was reacting to Kapil's scathing attack on current Indian cricketers where the 1983 World Cup winning underlined the increasing arrogance amongst the players.

"Sometimes too much money comes, arrogance comes. These cricketers think they know everything. That's the difference. I would say there are so many cricketers who need help. When Sunil Gavaskar is there, why can't you talk? Where is the ego? There is no ego as such. They feel 'we are good enough'. Maybe they are good enough, but extra help from somebody who has seen 50 seasons of cricket, he knows things. Listening sometimes can change your thought," said Kapil in a recent interview with The Week.

Jadeja didn't pay much heed to Kapil's comments and said everyone is bound to have their own opinion. The Indian all-rounder also insisted that no player in the team is taking his place for granted and everyone is working hard to reap collective success.

"I didn't know when he said this. I don't search too many things on social media. Everyone has their own opinion. It's nothing like that. Everybody is enjoying their game and working hard. Players are not taking their place in the team for granted. Whenever they are getting chances, they are giving their 100 percent and trying to win games for India," Jadeja said during a press conference.

"Such questions crop up when India loses a game. Nobody is arrogant. Everybody is representing India. We are working hard and playing for the country. There is no personal agenda," Jadeja added.

Jadeja will be next seen in action when India takes on West Indies in the 3rd ODI on August 1 (Tuesday). The three-match ODI series between the two nations is currently tied at 1-1.
