India would look to bounce back and return to winning ways in the ongoing T20I series against the West Indies when the two teams walk out at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on August 8 (Tuesday). Hardik Pandya-led Men in Blue have suffered consecutive defeats in the series as the Men in Maroon displayed tremendous fight and resilience. Now, the onus is on India to respond like one of the best teams in the world despite the squad comprising of youngsters.
The series offers the Men in Blue a chance to prepare for the following year's T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be staged in the Caribbean and the U.S.A. Several youngsters have been included in the T20I squad and the upcoming series will present a golden opportunity for them to make a solid case for their selection moving forward.
Weather forecast
Throughout the ongoing India tour of the West Indies, the rain has played spoilsport on more than one occasion, and it looks like the third T20I might be affected by showers. According to the forecast in Guyana for Tuesday, scattered showers and thunderstorms are predicted. There is a roundabout 50 percent chance of rain but as the day progresses the clouds are expected to clear, paving the way for clear skies.
It would be a shame if rain dampens the fun in Guyana as both teams appear to be equally matched, at least on paper. Fans would hope that the rain stays away and a full quota of 40 overs is bowled in the match.
