WI vs IND, 2nd T20I Weather Report: Will rain play spoilsport in Guyana? Check the forecast here

SportsTak

India would look to level the ongoing T20I series against the West Indies when the two teams walk out at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on August 6 (Sunday). Hardik Pandya-led Men in Blue suffered a surprise defeat in the series opening match at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad as the Men in Maroon displayed tremendous fight and registered a come-from-behind victory. Now, the onus is on India to respond like one of the best teams in the world despite the squad comprising of youngsters.

The series offers the Men in Blue a chance to prepare for the following year's T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be staged in the Caribbean and the U.S.A. Several youngsters have been included in the T20I squad and the upcoming series will present a golden opportunity for them to make a solid case for their selection moving forward.

Weather forecast

Throughout the ongoing India tour of the West Indies, the rain has played spoilsport on more than one occasion, and it looks like the second T20I might be affected by showers. The good news is that the chances of precipitation is around 30-40 percent chance rather than 50-60 percent in the earlier matches.

It would be a shame if rain dampens the fun in Guyana as both teams appear to be equally matched, at least on paper. Fans would hope that the rain stays away and a full quota of 40 overs is bowled in the match.
