Cricketers engaging in banter on Instagram live used to be a norm during Covid-19 lockdown when everyone was stuck at home and no professional cricket was going on. However, getting multiple cricketers together was still rare. Rishabh Pant managed to do it on July 26 in a fun chat where former skipper MS Dhoni made a special appearance, courtesy his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni.

While Pant, skipper Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav were on call, Sakshi picked up the call and the fans could see Dhoni waving at his teammates. ‘Mahi bhai, please stay for a while on the live call,’ Pant can be heard saying in the video. However, Dhoni quickly took Sakshi's phone and left the live as he was getting his hair dyed.

The short clip has gone viral on social media. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) shared the video on their social media handle as well. As soon as Dhoni ended the call, the cricketers burst into laughter.

Recently, Dhoni was seen meeting the players in England. He even wore a mask with Pant’s face on it to support the Indian team.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Axar Patel joined the live video as well and engaged in banter. During the live, the wicketkeeper-batter also surprised his fans by accepting their request to join the conversation and be on the same screen as the star cricketers.

While Suryakumar and Chahal are a part of the three-ODI series that will end tomorrow, Rohit and Pant have arrived for the five-T20I series which will begin this weekend.

Shikhar Dhawan-led India have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ODI series. They will take on Nicholas Pooran’s West Indies on July 27 in an attempt to pull off first cleans sweep in an ODI series on West Indies soil.

Recently, Pant helped India create history in England with his maiden ODI century in the series decider against Jos Buttler’s brigade. He will have a chance to prove his mettle in the T20I format against the two-time champions.
