India's star batter KL Rahul has started his rehabilitation process after undergoing a successful surgery for Sports Hernia in Germany. He has returned to India and have also hit the nets at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru in the recovery process.
A video of Rahul batting is doing the rounds of Internet and what caught everyone's attention was when on Monday (July 18), he was seen facing Indian women’s cricket team veteran Jhulan Goswami at the nets.
It was treat for cricket fans to watch the iconic clash which has taken the Internet by storm.
India's high-profile batter hasn’t played since the Indian Premier Competition (IPL) 2022, where he guided the new entrants Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to the playoffs.
Rahul was ruled out of the home series against South Africa on the eve of the first game in Delhi, when he was given the mantle to lead the team. Not just this, later he went on to miss the England tour as well owing to his injury.
However, Rahul is in the scheme of things in the five-match Twenty20 International series against the West Indies, however his availability is still subject to fitness. With the T20 World Cup in 2022 fast approaching, India will be hoping he can return to top-level cricket soon.
