Shubman Gill-led Team India has etched its name in history books by clinching a resounding 4-1 victory over Zimbabwe in the T20I series. This dominant performance marked a new world record for the most consecutive wins in a bilateral T20I series.
India Dominates Zimbabwe in T20I Series
After a surprising loss in the series opener, the Shubman Gill-led Indian side displayed remarkable resilience, bouncing back to win the next four matches convincingly. Their victories included a century-run margin, a 23-run triumph, a comprehensive 10-wicket demolition, and a final 42-run win.
Despite a shaky start in the final match, with early dismissals of key batters, Sanju Samson's crucial half-century and Shivam Dube's cameo helped India post a defendable total. Zimbabwe's hopes of a series-levelling victory were dashed by a stellar bowling performance from Mukesh Kumar, who claimed four wickets to seal the series for India.
India has rewritten the record books for T20I victories away from home. With their win in the fifth T20I, they surpassed Pakistan's previous record of 50 wins, establishing a new benchmark of 51 overseas victories in the shortest format of the game.
