Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are set to face the Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 20 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The SRH team enters this game with high confidence, as their batters have made a significant impact in this Indian Premier League (IPL) season. In their last match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), SRH batters hammered the opposition, posting 287 runs on the board, the highest-ever total in IPL history. This achievement surpassed their previous record of 277 runs, which was set against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 27.
Ahead of the match against DC, SRH fielding coach Ryan Cook expressed his belief that SRH batters will not surpass the 287-run mark again in the tournament.
"I'm not sure if those scores can be achieved again. Obviously, it is a good wicket here. The batters are in a very aggressive frame of mind but each conditions on their own, the guys will be assessing, putting partnerships together, and figure out what a good score is. Hopefully some good runs here," Ryan Cook said in the pre-match press conference.
SRH gunning to strike away from home
Ryan Cook further acknowledged SRH's winning streak and highlighted the opportunity for the team to secure their third consecutive victory, even away from their home ground. SRH has won their last three matches, including away victories against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and RCB.

"We have a couple of wins on a roll. If we get a few wins away from home, then it would be great. We are chasing down whatever we are getting. We need to make sure we have our plans and strategies set and take chances once we start," Cook added.
Ryan Cook also discussed the aggressive brand of cricket that the SRH team has embraced this season under new management. Before the start of this season, SRH appointed Pat Cummins as their captain and Daniel Vettori as the head coach.
"I think there have been some few key appointments in the leadership group. New coaches and a new captain and a couple of new personnel. Everyone has really gelled well and everyone is enjoying the style of play," the SRH fielding coach added.
