Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings defeated Shubman Gill's Gujarat Titans by 3 wickets in a thrilling clash in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on April 4. PBKS picked up their second win of the season and replaced Gujarat Titans for the fifth spot in the IPL 2024 points table.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is still at the top after their big 106-run win against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in Vizag, followed by Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, and Lucknow Super Giants respectively.
1. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
Two-time champions KKR are standing at the top of the points table after they hammered DC by 106 runs. KKR have won all three of their matches and have a net run rate of 2.518. The Knights will meet Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their next match on April 8, in Chennai.
2. Rajasthan Royals (RR)
RR has also won all their matches in this season so far. They played their last match against MI and won it by 6 wickets. RR has a net run rate of 1.249. Rajasthan will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their next match in Jaipur on April 6.
3. Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
Defending champions CSK are in the third position in the points table. CSK have got two wins out of three matches and have a net run rate of 0.976. Chennai lost their last match against DC by 20 runs and will be playing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their next match on April 5.
4. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
The Lucknow-based franchise is in the fourth position in the points table with two wins in three matches. LSG have a net run rate of 0.483. Lucknow won their last match against RCB by 28 runs and will be facing GT at their home in Lucknow on April 7.
5. Punjab Kings (PBKS)
PBKS after their win on Thursday against GT moved to the fifth spot, they have played four games and won two of them. Punjab have a net run-rate of -0.220. They will be playing their next game against SRH at Mullanpur on April 9.

6. Gujarat Titans (GT)
2022 IPL winner GT are standing at the sixth position with two wins in four matches. The Titans have a net run rate of -0.580. Shubhman Gill-led side will be facing LSG on April 7 in Lucknow.
7. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
SRH have only one win from three matches and a net run rate of 0.204. Pat Cummins-led SRH in their second match against MI posted 277, the highest total in the history of IPL. However, SRH was defeated by GT in their last match and will be meeting CSK on April 5 in Hyderabad.
8. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
The Bengaluru-based franchise is currently in the eighth position with only one win from four matches and have a net run rate of -0.876. RCB lost their last match against LSG by 28 runs at their home ground of M Chinnaswamy. RCB would want to revive their campaign with a win as they will be facing RR on April 6.
9. Delhi Capitals (DC)
Rishabh Pant-led DC have only one win from four matches and a net run rate of -1.347. DC lost their last match against KKR by 106 runs at their adopted home ground in Vizag. DC will be playing MI on April 7 in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
10. Mumbai Indians (MI)
Five-time champions MI didn’t have a good start to their campaign under their new captain Hardik Pandya. MI have not tasted a win in three matches and are at the bottom of the points table. MI would want to win their first match of the season in front of their home crowd in Mumbai, they will be playing DC on April 7.
