Gujarat Titans (GT) take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as Faf Du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on April 28. While RCB won their last game versus Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), GT lost in their previous encounter against Delhi Capitals (DC). Faf Du Plessis brought Glenn Maxwell into RCB's playing XI after star all-rounder missed last few matches.
Whad did the captains say?
After losing the toss GT skipper Shubman Gill said:
“Would have chased as well, looks a really good wicket. Need to put a good total on the board. We have batted decently, we lost by a difference of just one ball in the last game. This is the right time to peak for us.”
Meanwhile, RCB captain Faf du Plessis said:
“The wicket will be better later, so we will like to chase. With so many high scores the nature of this game has changed, our bowlers have been exceptional in the last two games. We have scored big with the bat, those are the changes. Maxwell comes back in, we have some firepower in the middle-order.”

Pitch Report
“It's very hot today, 62m and 64m square boundaries while the straight boundary is at 72m. The wicket looks pretty good, but it's quite dry. It should spin a bit and will be consistent even if you're batting first or second. 180 could be a good score batting first, but both teams will rely heavily on spin and changes in variations,” Michael Clarke and Graeme Swann analysed the pitch.
