The Indian Premier League (IPL) is known for its edge-of-the-seat thrilling matches that keep audiences engaged in the match right from ball one to the last ball of the game. Over the years, the cash-rich tournament has produced several memorable matches, some of which were decided either on the last ball of the match or went on to be decided in a Super Over. In the previous 16 seasons of the IPL, a total of 14 Super Overs were played to decide a winner after the match ended in the stipulated 40 overs.

Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings have won the most number of Super Overs in IPL history. Both franchises have won three Super Overs each. Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals have won two Super Overs each in the previous 16 seasons of the cash-rich tournament.

In less than a week, cricket's biggest carnival will kick off with a mouthwatering match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Until now, the schedule has only been released till April 7 and one can expect the announcement of the entire schedule in a day or two.
