Badoni thanks LSG franchise

Badoni, who scored his first half-century of the season, reflected on his performance with the bat and thanked the franchise for sticking with him for the long run.

"Enjoyed it. Wasn't able to score in the last 3 innings. Feel blessed. Very thankful to the franchise for showing their support. This match I wanted to take it deep and build partnerships, tried to score off the bad balls. Arshad (Khan) played a great supportive role, that helped us cross 160. Hopefully we'll defend the total and win this game," Badoni told the broadcasters at the mid-innings break, as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Badoni and Arshad help LSG post a respectable score

After electing to bat, LSG lost the wicket of Quinton de Kock fairly early while Devdutt Padikkal, Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran failed to make any impact with the bat. KL Rahul looked in sublime touch before being outfoxed by Kuldeep Yadav. After the end of 13 overs, the Lucknow-based franchise was in all sorts of trouble with a disappointing score of 94/7 on the board.
