This performance has pushed him ahead of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Sunil Narine, who has dropped to fifth place following his century against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Meanwhile, RR's captain Sanju Samson has fallen out of the top five in the orange cap standings.
In other developments, Rohit Sharma maintains his third spot in the race after scoring a century against CSK on April 14. Rajasthan Royals’ young talent Riyan Parag, who has been impressive this season, occupies the second spot following his 34 off 14 balls against KKR on April 16.
At the top of the leaderboard, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star Virat Kohli continues to hold the orange cap, with no other batter surpassing his score to date.
