Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star all-rounder Sunil Narine has entered into the Orange Cap race. In a recent match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 5, Narine delivered a spectacular performance, scoring 81 runs off just 39 balls, which propelled him to third place in the rankings. His teammate Phil Salt also made significant contributions with 32 runs off 14 balls, placing him fifth in the race.

During the same match, LSG's captain KL Rahul scored 25 runs off 21 balls. His performance, however, follows a notable inning of 76 runs off 48 balls against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 27, positioning him fourth in the Orange Cap standings. Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who is just one run behind the leader Virat Kohli, maintains the second position. On May 5, Gaikwad added 32 runs off 21 balls in a game against the Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Leading the chart, Kohli has scored 542 runs in 11 matches with a strike rate of 148.08. His tally includes four half-centuries and one century, affirming his top position in the race.

Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK)

The 27-year-old captain has recovered from an initial slump to compile 541 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 147.01, including four half-centuries and a century.

Sunil Narine (KKR)

Since being promoted to the opener, Narine has fully utilized his opportunity, amassing 461 runs in 11 matches at an impressive strike rate of 183.66, which includes three half-centuries and a century.

KL Rahul (LSG)

The captain of LSG has found consistent form, accumulating 431 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 141.31, with three half-centuries this season.

Phil Salt (KKR)

Stepping in as a replacement for Jason Roy, Salt has excelled as an opener, scoring 429 runs in 11 matches with a strike rate of 183.33, including four half-centuries.
