Virat Kohli continues to dominate the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 run-scoring charts. His brilliant eighth IPL century against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur on April 7 further solidified his lead at the top of the most run getters' list, extending his time with the coveted Orange Cap. With this knock, Kohli has already surpassed the 300-run mark in just five matches this season, showcasing his exceptional form.

Meanwhile, the race for the Orange Cap heats up behind Kohli. Rajasthan Royals' Riyan Parag currently sits in second place with 185 runs from four innings. Sanju Samson, the RR skipper, also climbed the ranks after his well-played 69 against RCB, pushing him into third position.

Another young talent making his mark is Shubman Gill, captain of the Gujarat Titans. His unbeaten 89 against Punjab Kings on April 4 propelled him to fourth place in the Orange Cap race with a total of 164 runs. The battle for the top run scorer in IPL 2024 promises to be an exciting one.

Completing the top five was the emerging talent Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made a significant impact by gathering 625 runs and establishing himself as a noteworthy player in the IPL.
