Kolkata Knight Riders are set to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Final of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, on May 26 (Sunday). Ahead of the big clash, fans have already started to speculate SRH's win as renowned rapper Drake has bet his money on KKR.
KKR hit with Drake curse?
Drake curse is a famous term on social media among sports fans. The rapper is known for placing bets on sports matches, be it football, UFC fights, or Boxing matches. However, in most cases the people and teams Drake bets on end up on the losing end. This gave birth to the ‘Drake curse’ on social media.
Now the Canadian rapper has made his first bet in cricket for the big IPL Final. He was likely planning to place his money on RR but following their elimination from the playoffs, he has decided to bet $250,000 on the Knight Riders. However, fans have started hitting back on it and are saying this has confirmed SRH's win.
KKR vs SRH clash in Final
KKR and SRH will collide in the one last match of this season. Both sides have faced each other two times already in this edition and both times the Knights were able to get the better of the Sunrisers. They last faced each other in Qualifier 1, where KKR won by 8 wickets in a dominant fashion. Now SRH have earned a chance to avenge their loss with a good win in Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals. Both teams have previously lifted IPL trophies, KKR two times and SRH once. Now they will be eyeing to add another title to their tally.
