Lighthearted moments filled the air on Netflix's The Great Indian Kapil Show as Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma and teammate Shreyas Iyer graced the stage. Host Kapil Sharma, known for his wit, steered the conversation towards some fun revelations. In one playful exchange, Rohit, who has shared locker rooms with various players throughout his career, jokingly revealed his least preferred roommates. Citing messiness as the reason, he named Shikhar Dhawan, captain of Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Rishabh Pant, captain of Delhi Capitals (DC). He quipped that these teammates wouldn't clean their rooms for days. This lighthearted banter adds another layer to the camaraderie between Indian cricketers. While Rohit is currently in action in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 where he is representing Mumbai Indians. Post IPL 2024, Rohit's next big assignment will the T20 World Cup 2024 which will be hosted jointly by the West Indies and USA.

“Everyone gets a single room nowadays. But if I get a chance to share a single room, there are two people with whom I wouldn't want to share rooms with - Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant. Bade gande hai (They are very messy). After practice, they just toss their clothes on the bed,” Rohit said.
“Their room is always on DND because they sleep till 1PM. The housekeeping staff that comes in the morning to clean their rooms, so it's important for them to put their rooms on DND. Otherwise, they will barge in. That's why their rooms often stay messy for three to four days. It becomes a problem for the people staying around them. So, I don't think I will be able to stay with them,” Hitman added.
During his appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, Rohit Sharma also addressed the heartbreaking loss India faced in the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia. He admitted to expecting some anger from fans following the defeat on home soil. However, Rohit expressed his surprise and gratitude for the overwhelming support he and the team received despite the outcome.
“I was thinking that the World Cup took place in our country but still we couldn’t win. I felt the nation might be angry with us. But I only heard people praising how well we played, and how they enjoyed watching that cricket,” Rohit concluded.
Rohit Sharma will be back in action on April 7, as his team Mumbai Indians take on Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Wankhede Stadium for an IPL 2024 clash. MI continue to struggle in the ongoing IPL 2024 as they have suffered three back-to-back defeats against Gujarat Titans, Sunriser Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals. However, they will look to bounce back in the clash against Pant-led Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede stadium.
