Ajit Agarkar reveals reason behind Rinku Singh's snub

Ajit Agarkar opened up on why the board failed to include Rinku Singh in the 15-member squad. He acknowledged the fact that how tough and close it was to exclude Rinky. He revealed that they made this decision so the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma could have two wrist spinners in the Caribbean and US conditions.

“Rinku Singh exclusion was the toughest decision. It's got nothing to do with Rinku. We felt Rohit can have an extra spin option with two wrist spinners. He is in the reserves so that's how close he was,” said Ajit Agarkar during the press conference for India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
