Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on Delhi Capitals as Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash at Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur on March 28. While DC lost their first match to Punjab Kings, RR won in their first outing versus Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Meanwhile, Pant made two changes in Delhi's playing XI. Ishant Sharma missed the clash against RR due to injury which he picked during match against PBKS, while, Shai Hope, who also has a bad back, sits out of the encounter.
What do the captains say?
DC skipper Pant, after winning the toss said:“Wicket is fine but we want to use it when conditions are dry. Feels good to play 100 games for the same franchise but not thinking about it too much. Most of the concerns will be injury-based. We could've got the last game if Ishant's injury wasn't there. Gotta control what we can. Ishant hasn't injured and Shai Hope has a bad back, so two changes.”
Meanwhile, RR captain Sanju Samson after the toss said:
“We also would've bowled because of the dew that is expected. Both pitches look similar, this has an even covering of grass. The teams here are very competitive. We have good players and will play good sides. Playing the same team.”
