Yuzi Chahal leaks 62 runs in four overs.

Sanju Samson added a new chapter to Indian batters' disappointing outing in their first match after being selected for India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad. The Rajasthan Royals captain got out on a three-ball duck as Bhuvneshwar Kumar clean-bowled him with a beautiful delivery in the first over itself. He is the third batter after Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube to get out on a duck after the BCCI's announcement of the Men in Blue's squad.

SRH batting first posted 201/3 in 20 overs with the help of fifties from Travis Head and Nitish Reddy. Now, they needed early wickets to gain more control and Bhuvneshwar Kumar ensured it by dismissing Jos Buttler on a golden duck and then three-ball later dismissed Samson on a duck as well. He provided his team with the perfect start in the second innings.

Fans stormed social media and are now trolling Samson for his performance right after getting selected in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2024.

T20 World Cup-bound players' underwhelming performance post-selection

Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal have joined the list of Indian T20 World Cup-bound players to have underwhelming outings post-selection. Samson got out on a duck and Chahal gave 62 runs in his four-over spell. Apart from them Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya's golden duck. Rohit Sharma (4 runs off 5 balls) and Suryakumar Yadav's (10 runs off 6 balls) dismal knocks against LSG. Even Arshdeep Singh was not really impressive as he leaked 52 runs in his four overs against CSK. Jadeja got out after scoring 2 runs off four balls.

Team India's T20 World Cup-bound players apart from Jasprit Bumrah did not have an impressive outing in their first match after squad selection, thus raising doubts. However, this is just one match and hopefully, the players will be back performing to their full potential and put on a show.
