Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) owner Kavya Maran motivated her team after losing the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 final against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 26 at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. KKR won the match by eight wickets to win their third IPL title.
SRH shared a video where Kavya Maran can be seen having a chat her team after their loss in the final. Here is the clip.
"You guys really, the players were so good. I had to come here and tell you that really, I mean, you redefined the way you played the league cricket and everyone's talking about us. The off-play had to happen today, but really, great job. All of you, the bat, the ball. Thank you so much and I think even though we finished last place last year, I think all the fans came out in huge numbers because of the potential you guys had. Everyone's talking about us, even if it's KKR, I'm sure everyone's still going to be talking about the style of cricket that you guys play" said Kavya Maran

"Thank you guys, take care. Don't look like this. Don't look like this. We played the finals, it wasn't just any other game. I mean, nine other teams are watching us today. Thank you, thank you so much. Thank you guys, take care. I'll see you soon. Thank you, thank you" Kavya concluded.
Earlier, after SRH's loss in the final Kavya itself was seen teary-eyed because her franchise had a year to remember. After winning eight dominating wins out of thirteen outings, they broke several records and confirmed their berth into the final.
