Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) rocked Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by seven wickets from a precarious position at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium on Saturday (May 13). SRH posted a challenging total of 182/6 in their stipulated 20 overs. In reply, LSG came from behind to shock SRH with four balls and seven wickets to spare.
Despite LSG's stunning victory, Amit Mishra was reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League's (IPL) code of conduct. Mishra admitted to Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct which states abuse of equipment during the match. Mishra accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.
Apparently Mishra, one of the most prolific bowlers in IPL history, was scolded for his over animated celebration after taking a wicket during SRH's innings. Mishra's wicket celebration saw him venting out his frustration as he forcefully smashed the ball into the ground.
Mishra, who has been impressive throughout the season for LSG, has so far snared seven wickets in as many matches at an average of 21.28 and an economy of 7.84. The 40-year-old returned with a bowling figure of 1/40 for LSG's winning cause.
The 40-year-old was brought into the attack in the ninth over made a stunning comeback and rattled the well settled Amolpreet Singh after getting smashed for a six on the third ball by SRH skipper Aiden Markram. Amolpreet chipped the ball right into Mishra's hand. The LSG's veteran spinner unleashed a wild celebration after picking up the wicket and struck the ball into the ground in anger and also gave a cold look to SRH's star batter.

Meanwhile, the terrific troika of Prerak Mankad, Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis late blitzes clinched a stunning victory for LSG.
Aiden Markram-led SRH posted a stiff total of 182/6 riding on Heinrich Klaasen's 47 off 29 and Abdul Samad's 37 off 25. While defending a challenging target of 183, Hyderabad's bowlers did well to keep LSG's batters in check in first half of the second innings. But Mankad's impressive 45-ball 64, and Pooran (44 off 13), Stoinis' (40 off 25) six-laden knocks left SRH bowlers clueless as to where to bowl and where not to. The fiery duo belted SRH's bowlers left, right and centre to ultimately snatch victory from SRH's hand.
