Watch: Arjun Tendulkar reveals he was bitten by a dog ahead of Mumbai Indians' clash against Lucknow Super Giants

Mumbai Indians (MI) young pacer Arjun Tendulkar, son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, revealed that he was bitten by a dog ahead of the franchise's clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 16 (Tuesday). Arjun revealed the news while greeting a couple of LSG players during the training session ahead of the crunch Indian Premier League (IPL) match. The left-arm pacer has played four matches for the most successful IPL franchise this season. Arjun bagged three wickets at an economy rate of 9.36.

Watch the video here:

Arjun hasn't featured in MI's playing XI in the last four-five matches as Rohit Sharma and the team management decided to give bowlers like Akash Madhwal an extended run. When Arjun was in the playing XI, he did the bulk of bowling in the powerplay overs. Having said that, the left-arm pacer was asked to defend 19 runs in the last over during MI's match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Arjun delivered for his team and conceded just five runs to roll out a victory for the Men in Blue. Furthermore, he also bagged his maiden IPL wicket in that fixture.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma's men seem to have gotten their season back on track after starting the tournament on a poor note. Led by Suryakumar Yadav's belligerence with the bat, the Mumbai-based franchise has been able to stitch together a good run while other players have chipped in here and there.

Currently, Rohit Sharma's team is third in the points table. Mumbai Indians have won seven of their 12 matches thus far, losing just five games in the process. If MI manages to win their remaining two matches, they will secure the top two position in the points table. MI's remaining two matches are against LSH and Sunrisers Hyderabad.Ā
