Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are deep in preparations for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season. But it is not only the players who are getting ready for the marquee tournament but also the groundsmen and the stadium staff, who want to make the Chepauk look fabulous for the first home match in Chennai since 2019.

Joining the staff in helping the stadium look spic and span for the fans was none other than their skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who decided to clean the seats in the stands that have been gathering dust without any fans to use them.

The MA Chidambaram Stadium, also known as the Chepauk stadium, was renovated with new stands and spectator-friendly facilities ahead of the 3rd ODI between India and Australia series. Moreover, the I, J and K stands will also be made available for the first time in almost 10 years, with the stands closed due to legal issues.

In the video, Dhoni was wearing his CSK training jersey and traversing the seats while spray painting the seats with yellow and blue paint. Dhoni was surely trying to help out the people in charge of this and in doing so, made himself even more loved by the fans of the franchise and the support staff as well.

Dhoni looked to complete the task with relative ease and seemed pleased with the final result.

Meanwhile, CSK kickstart their campaign against the Gujarat Titans (GT) on March 31, in what will be the first match of the tournament. Their first home game will be against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday, April 3.

Many believe that this might be the last IPL season for Dhoni, who has led the team to four titles during his 15-year career in the cash-rich league.

He also recently turned bowler as his franchise's media team surprised the fans with a video of the talisman bowling to leave everyone guessing whether the star batter is gearing himself to bowl a couple of overs in the IPL 2023 if needed. You can see the video here.
