Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper David Warner and Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja were involved in a hilarious banter during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023's last league match at the Arun Jaitely stadium on Saturday (May 20).
MS Dhoni's brigade set a colossal target of 224 for David Warner's men as they rode on cracking knocks from Ruturaj Gaikwad (79 off 50) and Devon Conway (87 off 52).
Skipper Warner and Prithvi Shaw walked down the middle to launch DC's monumental run chase. However, Prithvi Shaw (5 off 7) crashed in the second over off Tushar Deshpande's delivery. But Warner held the fort from one end and continued belting CSK bowlers left, right and centre.
Facing Deepak Chahar, Warner smashed ten runs in the first two balls of the fifth over. Warner then mistimed a shot which went straight towards Ajinkya Rahane. The star Aussie southpaw tried to tease the Mumbai batter by standing out of the crease. However, Rahane threw the ball to prevent the run which saw Warner rushing back into the crease. The ball went right into the hands of Ravindra Jadeja who again threatened to throw the ball but the undeterred Warner gave it back to CSK's star all-rounder. Instead of going back into the crease he swung his bat like Jadeja's sword celebration which left everyone in splits. The light moment shared between the duo was immensely loved by the fans and in no time the video went viral on social media.

Warner ended up scoring 86 off 58 which was studded with seven fours and five sixes. Matheesha Pathirana finally ended Warner's stay in the 19th over.
DC lost the match by 77 runs and paved CSK's path for the IPL 2023's playoffs. CSK now have 17 points in a total of 14 matches.
