With the upcoming series between Ireland and Bangladesh, three players will miss a number of matches for their respective Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 teams — Gujarat Titans (GT), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC).

These players are Joshua Little of Ireland, Litton Das and Mustafizur Rahman of Bangladesh respectively. Little plays for GT, while Litton recently made his Indian Premier League (IPL) and Mustafizur Rahman turns out for DC.

Little is part of a full-strength squad for Ireland, who need to beat mighty Bangladesh at Chelmsford in May's ODI series which the Irishmen they must win 3-0 to qualify automatically for the 50-over World Cup at South Africa's expense.

The GT pacer is set to depart from India after GT's match against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on May 5 and will skip their fixtures against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in order to play against Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, among the Bangladeshi players, Mustafizur and Litton will also miss around 10 days of the cash-rich tournament because of their team's involvement in the upcoming series, having been named in Bangladesh's squad earlier this month.

Josh Little has been effective for the Titans when used sporadically. In the four matches that he has played, he has bagged one wicket in three of the four matches that he has played.

Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das, who was signed by KKR for IPL 2023, did not have the best of debuts in the tournament. He scored just four runs and also was brutally trolled by KKR fans for his poor wicketkeeping against the Delhi Capitals (DC).
