Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) former skipper Eoin Morgan has remained unsold in the mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. No team showed interest for Morgan, who guided KKR to the final of 2021 IPL final where they lost the match against Chennai Super Kings in the summit clash.
Morgan had placed himself in the auction with a base price of INR 1.5 crores. However, in the IPL 2021 season, Morgan didn't really click with the bat. Morgan could only score 133 runs in the 2021 season playing 17 matches. While talking about Morgan’s IPL career, he has played a total of 83 matches in this league in which he has scored 1405 runs at a strike rate of 122.60. He scored 5 half-centuries in this league in which his highest score is 68 runs. His peak performance came in 2020 season where he was all guns blazing as he scored a total of 418 in 14 matches where he struck 24 sixes and 32 boundaries.
Meanwhile, other star players who couldn't lure buyers so far on Day of the auction. It includes big names like Ishant Sharma, Aaron Finch, Marnus Labuschagne and David Malan.
