The stage for the mega auction 2022 for the upcoming 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set. A total of 590 players from around the world will be involved in the mega auction. With the emergence of two new teams (Lucknow and Ahmedabad), ten teams will be seen getting involved in the upcoming auction. Apart from bowlers and batsmen focus will be also on some players who can take care of both the departments. It is time to talk about five all-rounders out of the 590 players who can be in the central point of the bidding in the mega auction for the 15th edition of the IPL.
Raj Bawa
Raj Bawa has been the best performer for India in the U-19 World Cup. This all-rounder scored 252 runs in 5 innings including a century and also picked up nine wickets. He also became the first Indian player to take 5 wickets in the final of the U-19 World Cup. He can play the role of an all-rounder in IPL for a long time, so it is needless to mention that all the teams would indeed want him to be in their squad.
Washington Sundar
Chennai-born Washington Sundar is playing the role of an all-rounder for the Indian team currently. Sundar made his IPL debut in 2017 with the Pune Super Giants. He has so far taken 27 wickets in 42 matches and scored 217 runs in IPL.
Wanindu Hasranga
Sri Lanka's 24-year-old all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga could very well become the costliest player in the IPL 2022 auction. All the franchises will surely try to sign him. Hasaranga has been a terrific spinner for Sri Lanka since his T20I debut in 2019. Last year in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, he performed well for his country with both bat and ball and became the best bowler for Sri Lanka after claiming 16 wickets.
Dwayne Bravo
This West Indian all-rounder has been a part of IPL for a long time and he still has the ability to rescue his team with both bat and ball from difficult situations. He had a great performance in the IPL so far. He has scored more than 1500 runs in 150 matches in IPL and the all-rounder has also bagged 160 wickets. He retired from international cricket last year but he has continued playing domestic cricket tournaments.
Mitchell Marsh
Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been awarded the ICC T20 Player of the Year 2021 this year. In his 20 matches in IPL, he has scored 225 runs at a strike rate of 114.21 and has also picked up 20 wickets. He played a big role in Australia's victory in the recently concluded T20 World Cup and achieved an impressive record in the Big Bash League as well. In the mega auction of IPL, the teams can spend a healthy amount in order to sign him.
