Shubman Gill top-scored for Gujarat Titans (GT) in their win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as the side secured a place in the top-four of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season at the expense of their opponents. Leading the line from the front, the young opener scored 63 runs in 49 balls at a strike rate of 128.57 as GT scored 144 runs.
In response, the whole LSG batting line-up was dismissed for just 82 runs as Deepak Hooda was their top scorer at 27. Gil's contributions moved him to fourth on the Orange Cap standings ahead of veteran southpaw Shikhar Dhawan, having scored 384 runs, three more than the Punjab Kings (PBKS) opener.
