Shubman Gill hit his third half-century of the season for Gujarat Titans (GT), albeit in a losing cause against Mumbai Indians (MI) during their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Friday, May 6. His 52 off just 36 balls set the stage for GT, but their middle order surprisingly failed this time around as they were kept at bay against the MI bowlers.
His innings took him to ninth on the table, while Hardik Pandya moved up to fifth after scoring 24 runs for his side. Meanwhile, MI's young, uncapped starlet Tilak Varma continued his run in the top 10 after scoring 21 runs for his team. He had a strike rate of 131.25 as Mumbai set an unassailable score for their opponents.
