IPL 2022 Orange Cap: Tilak Varma back in the mix as Shreyas Iyer out of top-10 list

Rajasthan Royals' (RR) Jos Buttler continues his monopoly on Orange Cap with a massive lead. Buttler has garnered 625 runs in a total of 12 matches, which includes three magnificent centuries and as many fifties as his highest score remains 116 with a stunning strike rate of 149.88. 

 

Following him is Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) skipper KL Rahul, who has mustered 459 runs in a total of 12 matches. He also has two robust tons against his name with as many half-centuries recording a handsome average of 45.90. 

 

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals' (DC) David Warner rode on unbeaten 52 off 41 in his last outing to storm into third spot as he has amassed 427 runs in mere 10 matches with an exceptional average of 61. With the rise of Warner, who was earlier on sixth place, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Faf Du Plessis moved a place down 389 runs in 12 matches. Following him is Gujarat Titans' (GT) star batter Shubman Gill who has accumulated 384 runs in a total of 12 matches with four fifties.  

 

Punjab Kings' (PBKS) Shikhar Dhawan is sixth on the list with 381 runs in 11 matches while Mumbai Indians' (MI) Tilak Varma made his way into top-10 batters' list with a sedate 34 off 32 against CSK to sit seventh which also saw KKR skipper going out of the standings.
