Gujarat Titans (GT) were at their best during their Indian Premier League (IPL) fixture against Rajasthan Royals (RR), beating them by 37 runs to move to the summit of the points table. Led by skipper Hardik Pandya, the Titans displayed exceptional qualities with both ball and bat as they came back from their previous loss to secure an important win.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals, who were on top, had to move down to third. However, if Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lose to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) tonight, then Rajasthan stand a chance to move to second on the league table.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Jos Buttler was one of their standout players against GT, and consolidated his place atop the Orange Cap standings after scoring 54 runs. This takes his season's tally to 272, in five matches. Meanwhile, Shivam Dube was knocked down to third after Hardik Pandya's excellent unbeaten 87 pushed him to second with 228 runs. On fourth is Shubman Gill (200), who has been in great form this season, followed by RR's Shimron Hetmyer (197) on fifth.
Purple Cap
Buttler’s RR teammate Yuzvendra Chahal is the new holder of the Purple Cap. The Royals leg-spinner picked up 4/41 against LSG on April 10 to move into the top spot with 11 wickets in four matches at an average of just 9.45. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Umesh Yadav slipped down one spot after claiming just one wicket against Delhi Capitals (DC). Umesh now has 10 wickets in five matches. DC chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav is currently in third place with 10 wickets in four matches following his 4/35 against KKR.
