Yuzvendra Chahal reclaimed his previous spot on the Purple Cap standings after picking up the wicket of the in-form Deepak Hooda, who had already scored 59 runs and was looking in dangerous form. The spinner was at his usual best against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and his only wicket of the match was a crucial one for Rajasthan Royals (RR) as the side moved to second on the points table after their 24-run victory over the Super Giants.
Meanwhile, another player whose form has helped his team win matches is the pacer Mohammad Shami of the Gujarat Titans (GT). The Indian star speedster picked up two wickets against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during their match on Sunday, May 15, taking his tally for the season to 18, and moving him back up the Purple Cap standings into the fourth spot, above the likes of Harshal Patel and Kuldeep Yadav.
