IPL 2022: RCB climb to sixth spot in IPL standings, here is how teams stand

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on March 30 (Wednesday) secured a three-wicket victory against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). This win helped the Faf du Plessis-led side to climb to sixth spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022standings.

KKR, on the other hand, are at fifth position in the IPL standings with two points (Net Run Rate 0.093). The Kolkata-based franchise has secured one victory after playing two matches. Rajasthan Royals (RR) still remain at the top of the table with a positive Net Run Rate (NRR) of 3.050.

 

Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Gujarat Titans (GT) hold the remaining spots in the top-four of IPL standings respectively.

 

The Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) currently occupy the 10th spot in the IPL standings with a negative NRR of 3.050.

 

Orange Cap

South African batter Faf still remains at the top spot in the list of highest run-scorers. He only scored five runs against KKR and the RCB skipper with 92 runs, is currently 12 runs ahead of second-placed Ishan Kishan of Mumbai Indians.

 

Purple cap

On the other hand, RCB spinner Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva is currently the Purple Cap holder after picking up four wickets against KKR. The Sri Lankan spinner has claimed five wickets till now in the ongoing IPL. On the other hand, KKR pacer Umesh Yadav jumped to second spot after bagging two wickets against RCB.

 

On March 31, KKR registered a total of 128 runs against RCB. In reply, the Bangalore-based team reached the target with four balls remaining.
