IPL 2023 Orange Cap: David Warner breaches the 300-run mark but still trails leader Faf du Plessis by 99 runs

The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is alive and kicking. A total of 34 matches have been played in IPL 2023 and the franchises involved have provided immense entertainment to their loyal supporters. After 25 days of action in the cash-rich tournament, all teams are gearing up for the business end of the competition. Delhi Capitals (DC) secured two crucial points in a hostile environment as they clinched a nerve-jangling seven-run win over the Suntisers Hyderabad on April 24 (Monday).

When it comes to the race for Orange Cap, DC skipper David Warner breached the 300-run mark but still trails Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis by 99 runs.

1. Faf du Plessis: The stylish right-handed batter has aggregated 405 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 165.31 and an average of 67.50.

3. David Warner: The Delhi Capitals' captain has registered 306 runs in seven matches so far at a strike rate of 119.53 and an average of 43.71.

5. Ruturaj Gaikwad: Chennai Super Kings' opening batter has scored 270 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 147.54 and an average of 45.

6. KL Rahul: Lucknow Super Giants' skipper has scored 262 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 113.91 and an average of 37.43.

7. Venkatesh Iyer: Kolkata Knight Riders' left-handed batter has scored 254 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 159.75 and an average of 36.29.
