In a big boost for dented Delhi Capitals, star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is all set to link up with the side in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023's first home game at the at the Arun Jaitley stadium. David Warner-led DC are set to lock horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in their home game at the at the Arun Jaitley stadium on Tuesday (April 4), which will be graced by Pant's presence. Pant, who met with a horrific car accident and picked up severe injuries in December 2022, is still on the road to recovery. Beside missing this year's IPL, Pant has been ruled out of all the major tournaments of 2023 including Asia Cup and ODI World Cup.
Rajan Manchanda, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Joint Secretary, confirmed the news that Pant will attend DC's match against GT. He said that Pant will watch the match despite the injury.
"There's good news for our spectators tomorrow. Despite his injury, Rishabh Pant is coming to support his team. He is a star of Delhi (Capitals). I hope spectators will give him a clap that he is coming among his cricketers despite such an injury," Manchanda told ANI.
"We are ready to host Rishabh Pant at the ground if he feels okay and Delhi Capitals allows it. We will take care of everything for him, be it picking him up from home or dropping him back. We will also create a special ramp till the dugout for his access," DDCA director Shyam Sharma told ANI.

In DC's IPL 2023's campaign opener against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) paid tribute to Pant. Players hung Pant’s jersey in the dugout during the match which they lost by 50 runs. In absence of Pant, David Warner has been given the onus to lead DC in IPL 2023.
