Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is set to tie the knot in the month of March, in Melbourne and in a recent development after his wedding invitation card got leaked on the internet, it is understood that Maxwell is set to beef up security for his wedding ceremony.
In an interview with the www.cricket.com.au, Maxwell revealed that he will have to “get extra security for the wedding now” and “the relatives over in India just got a little bit excited."

“It was not ideal. We’ve got to get extra security for the wedding now. It was supposed to be a private event and unfortunately the relatives over in India just got a little bit excited and decide to show a few friends.
“Next minute, it’s in pretty much every paper over there and I’m getting tweeted it by pretty much everyone. So that was that was a shock. It’s been a busy couple of days,” the 33-year-old said.
Earlier, Maxwell had informed that he will be unavailable for the upcoming tour of Pakistan and he will probably miss the initial few games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well.

The IPL is expected to start next month but the dates have not been revealed yet. The mega auction for the IPL 2022 edition was held in Bengaluru on February 12 and February 13. Maxwell had been retained by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise for an amount of Rs 11 crore, ahead of the IPL mega auction.
On the other hand, Australian cricket team are taking part in a five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka in Australia and the hosts have already clinched the series after winning the first three matches of the series.
In the first match of the series, Australia had bagged a victory by 20 runs (D/L method). In the second match of the series, the match initially turned out to be a draw but later Australia emerged as victorious after winning the one-over eliminator.
In the third T20I of the series, the visitors suffered a 6-wicket defeat. The penultimate match of the series is scheduled to be played on Friday (February 18), in Melbourne.
