Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach Stephen Fleming said that he had no idea that Ravichandran Ashwin has a YouTube channel. Ashwin's one of the videos went viral where panellists questioned CSK's selection strategy. The video was later deleted.
Fleming was asked about Ashwin's YouTube channel in the post-match press conference. He did not add fuel to fire and labelled it as 'irrelevant'.
“Mate, I have no idea. I don’t even know he had a channel, so I don’t follow that stuff. That’s irrelevant. You guys are important," Fleming told the reporters on April 5.
Ashwin in IPL 2025 so far
In the clash against Delhi Capitals (DC), Ashwin remained wicketless. From three overs, he conceded 21 runs. He did not get to bat as Vijay Shankar and MS Dhoni remained unbeaten. So far, the 38-year-old has taken three wickets in the season from four games. He got to bat only once when he came ahead of Dhoni in the run chase against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He scored 11 runs from eight balls.

Fleming wants top-order to deliver
Against Delhi Capitals (DC) at home, CSK lost the match by 25 runs. This was their third defeat of the season. Also, CSK's poor run in big run chases continued. They haven't been able to chase down a target over 180 since IPL 2018. Fleming talked about focusing on keeping the target smaller and hopes for larger contributions at the top of the order.
“We are looking to find the formula that will get us over the line. We are certainly well aware of the chasing stat. We are focusing, bowling-wise, to restrict teams below that, but we do need to be better with the bat," Fleming said.
“You look at the teams that are doing well and you see that the majority of runs are getting scored through the top three or top four. A little bit more run-production there allows the power hitters to come at the right spots," he added.

CSK's position on IPL 2025 points table
CSK are currently ninth on the points table. Only Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have a worse net run rate (NRR) than CSK. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side's next match is against Shreyas Iyer's Punjab Kings (PBKS). So far, PBKS have won two out of their three games.
