Cricket Australia (CA) has apologized for a mistake in the scorecard during Pakistan's warm-up match against the Prime Minister's XI at Manuka Oval in Canberra. On the first day of the match, the scorecard displayed 'P**I' instead of PAK, which is offensive to people of South Asian descent. Journalist Danny Saeed pointed out the error, leading to Cricket Australia making manual corrections.
According to CA, the graphic was automatically generated by a data provider that had not been used for a Pakistan game before. The organization expressed regret for the oversight and promptly corrected the error once it was brought to their attention.
