Jadeja shows his cards early as he shuffles outside off to scoop over short fine leg. Seeing that, Shardul pushes it wide outside off, full in length. Jadeja tries to adjust and angle it over short third, but is late by then and misses out.

Pulls the length back by a bit, outside off. Jadeja throws his bat at it, and square cuts it to deep point for just a single.

Untidy in the field! Back of a length, around off. Burger pulls it off the inner half of the bat to the right of deep mid-wicket. Naman Dhir runs across but does not bend low enough to collect the ball, and it goes through. Suryakumar Yadav, from long on, backs it up and throws it to the bowler. But by then, the batters cross over for the third run. Shardul Thakur also fails to collect the throw, but the backup is there to prevent any other run. 

Caught, but won't count as Shardul has overstepped. Thakur slips out a high full toss, outside off. Jadeja reaches out for it and slaps it flatly off the toe end of the cover fielder where it is taken comfortably by Hardik Pandya. Free Hit coming up...

 FOUR MORE! On a good length, pushed outside off by Thakur. Jadeja waits back and slaps it into the big gap in front of square on the off side. He puts it away between deep point and extra cover to find the fence.

Takes pace off with a short ball, around off. Jadeja pulls it across to deep mid-wicket. Just a single to end the innings. 14 runs off the final over and the Rajasthan Royals finish at 205/8.

Good review by Jadeja! On a length, going down the leg side. Jadeja shuffles a bit inside the line, crouches, and tries to help it behind, but misses out. Jadeja sends it upstairs for a review for a wide not given. UltraEdge comes up and shows a flat line. The on-field decision is overturned.

Full and around off, Jadeja drills it to mid off and hurries to the other end. Hardik picks the ball and releases a flat throw to the batting end but misses his shy.

Fantastic piece of running! Slightly back of a length, on the fourth stump line. Jadeja waits back and steers it to deep backward point.  FOUR! PUNISHED! Juicy full toss, outside off. Jadeja accepts it gleefully and smashes it to the right of the cover fielder and picks up a boundary.

 SIX! These are crucial runs for the Royals! Bosch serves a genuine half volley, outside off. Nandre Burger gets under it nicely and pumps it downtown for a six. Clean strike from Nandre. 16 runs off the over.

 SIX! A flat hit from Archer! Way too short by Thakur, on top of middle. Jofra Archer clears the front leg and pulls it flat and wide of the deep mid-wicket fielder for a cracking six. This is turning out to be a brilliant cameo from Archer.

 NO BALL AND FOUR! Going downhill for Shardul. He slips a high full toss, angling on the leg stump, and it is above the waist height. Not an ideal line at all with two fielders in the ring behind square on the leg side. Jofra Archer swings his bat hard and pins it between the short fine leg and backward square leg fielders for a boundary.

Gets away with it! Short and slow, outside off. Jofra climbs on it and slashes it a bit uppishly to deep point for a single.

OUT! MISTIMED AND CAUGHT! Good deception by Thakur on this occasion. He dishes out an off cutter, and bowls it fairly outside off, on a fractionally fuller length. Shubham Dubey is early into his shot and goes swinging across the line to heave it over deep mid-wicket. But ends up slicing it off the top edge. Naman Dhir comes charging in off the ropes by covering good ground. Sees the ball like a hawk and takes a fine running catch just outside the inner ring. Rajasthan Royals are 174/7.

Short on leg, Jadeja presses back and pulls it to deep backward square leg for a single.

OUT! CAUGHT! Shardul ends Archer's fun and another RR batter gets caught in the deep. Digs in a slower bouncer, on top of off and middle, does Thakur. Jofra Archer aims to muscle it downtown with a flat bat, but the connection goes all wrong for him. He fails to generate the power and timing, airing it straight. Tilak Varma runs to his left from long on and grabs it around his chest. Rajasthan Royals slip down to 175/8, with 12 legal balls remaining in the innings.

From around the stump, Bosch hits the deck hard, on off. Shubham Dubey hangs back and punches it to the left of point for a single.

Goes for the yorker, on off, Jofra Archer just manages to drop his bat down in time and gets an inside edge. The ball rolls through mid-wicket and they hustle for the second run as well. 150 UP FOR RAJASTHAN ROYALS!

 SIX! High and long enough! Short of a length, angling in on middle. Archer hangs deep in the crease and pulls it over deep mid-wicket for a big six. He is enjoying his promotion here.

 Just short! Perhaps the lack of timing saved Archer. A low full toss, around off. Jofra tries to clobber it over long off, but his bat twists at the point of contact. Tilak Varma comes charging in off the long off fence and dives forward, but the ball yorks his fingers and is deflected away. Two taken.

 SIX! A real freebie and punished! Chahar slips in a full toss at knee height, around off. Donovan Ferreira, with minimum fuss, hoists it over long on for a massive six. Is this the jailbreak moment for the Royals?

OUT! IN THE AIR AND CAUGHT! Not enough pyrotechnics from Ferreira and he departs just when he was looking to switch gears. Chahar redeems himself by bowling a slower short ball and well outside the off stump. Donovan Ferreira stands tall to fetch it and looks to clear the deep mid-wicket fence with a pull shot, but ends up slicing it off the top edge. It goes only as far as Corbin Bosch stationed in the deep, who moves to his left, and takes it with a reverse cup while falling on his back. Chahar has two to his name and the Royals are 139/6.

Short and at pace, angling away. Shubham pulls it wide of deep square leg for a couple of runs.

Archer was gone had the throw hit. Fuller in length, just outside off. Shubham Dubey pushes it with soft hands toward the mid off fielder. Dubey calls for a single, but Archer hesitates initially. However, he goes through eventually. The fielder has a shy at the batter's end, but misses and Archer gets home.

 SIX! Just over! On a short of a good length, just outside off. Archer plays with a cross-batted angle and slaps it aerially to clear the long off fence. Suryakumar Yadav leaps to pluck the ball there. He does get his fingertips to the ball, but lands beyond the ropes. A six for Archer.

Flat and fuller, around the leg stump. Donovan Ferreira, with no footwork, pushes it to the right of the bowler. Raghu dives to make a stop.

Slides into the batter, on a length. Donovan Ferreira hangs back and knocks it down to long on for a run.

 SIX! Much-needed for the Royals! Raghu errs this time and offers a juicy half-volley, on middle and leg. Donovan Ferreira gets the front leg out of the way and slogs it over cow corner for a cracking six.

Attacks the stumps, on a slightly fuller length. Donovan Ferreira plays from the crease, and opens the bat face at the last second to steer the ball between cover and point for a single.

A bit slower than usual, on a good length, around off. Jurel heaves it along the ground toward deep mid-wicket and gets a single.

Fuller on off, angling in. Donovan Ferreira gently taps it down through mid on for an easy run.

 OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Absolute snorter from Bosch and the troubles keep rising for the Royals. Corbin with a pinpoint yorker attacking the stumps. Dhruv Jurel has a high backlift and his head falls over. By the time he can jam the bat down to squeeze it out, the ball sneaks under his bat and crashes into the stumps behind. Rajasthan Royals are 119/5 as Jurel heads back to the dugout.

Well bowled! Spears in another yorker, around off. Archer shovels it back to the bowler. Only 4 runs and a wicket from the over. Corbin Bosch's figures read 2-0-10-1 so far.

FOUR! Hit hard and wide enough. Much fuller, around off. Dhruv Jurel drills it uppishly, just toward the right of the bowler. AM Ghazanfar looks to stick his right hand out to attempt a catch, but the ball zips past his fingertips and races away downtown for four runs.

 FOUR! Nicely executed! A bit of drag-downer from Ghazanfar, down the leg stump. Dhruv Jurel presses back and pulls it to the left of the diving short fine leg fielder for a boundary.

Sharp fielding! Fuller and outside off, Dhruv Jurel rocks back and cuts at it. However, Suryakumar Yadav dives to his right and makes a diving stop, denying the single.

 SIX! Into the second-tier! Way too short, on the stumps. Dhruv Jurel has enough room and time to go deep into the crease and nails the pull shot deep into the stands behind deep mid-wicket.

Flatter trajectory, much fuller, just behind the yorker length. Dhruv Jurel jams it to long on for a single.

Slower through the air, full and on middle. Donovan Ferreira lunges ahead with a big stride and blocks it to the right of the bowler. Another expensive over from AM Ghazanfar. 15 runs off it.

 FOUR! Off the edge! Back of a length, on the middle stump line and nipping back in a shade. Dhruv stands tall and goes for the heave, but the incoming ball takes the inside edge and the ball squirts to the right of the short fine leg fielder for a boundary.

OUT! DASUN SHANAKA IS RUN OUT! A complete miscommunication in the middle and Shanaka pays the price for it. A length delivery, around off, Jurel dabs it to the backward fielder. Shardul Thakur moves to his left and initially fumbles to collect the ball and Shanaka sniffs a single, but Jurel is going nowhere and has his back against his partner. Shanaka is almost at the striker's end and has a long way to retreat. Shardul eventually collects the ball and throws it to the bowling end. Corbin gathers it on the half-volley, juggles momentarily, but manages to whip the bails off in time with Shanaka well short of his ground. An unfortunate way to get dismissed for Dasun and Rajasthan Royals are 99/4.

SIX! That has gone many a mile. AM Ghazanfar serves a flighted delivery, a bit too full, drifting in, on middle and leg. Shanaka gets on the front foot and, with a steady head, he tonks it way over wide long on for a 100-meter biggie.

AM Ghazanfar drags his length back once again, just outside off. Dasun Shanaka rocks back and pushes it to long off for a single.

Attacking the front pad, on a good length. Jurel brings his bat out in front and whips it to deep mid-wicket for one. A productive over for RR, 15 runs off it.

Raghu Sharma comes from over the wicket and delivers a full ball, outside off. Dhruv Jurel punches it toward Corbin Bosch in the cover region.

SIX! Banged away! A half-tracker by AM Ghazanfar, on off. Jurel does not miss out as he stands tall and pummels it over the man at deep mid-wicket for half a dozen.

A touch fuller this time, just outside off. Dhruv Jurel opens the face of the bat at the last moment to guide it to the left of backward point for a single.

FOUR! Up and over! A floater, curving back in, on middle and leg. Parag clears the front leg, reaches out in front and thumps it over mid on. One bounce and over the ropes.

FOUR! This is an excellent batting from the skipper of Rajasthan Royals. Much fuller, offering a lot of width, outside off. Riyan Parag crouches a bit and extends his arms to smash it over the cover-point region for four more runs.

OUT! CAUGHT! A well-judged catch by Tilak Varma, and it is AM Ghazanfar who has the last laugh. Slower through the air and the length is pulled back too, on off. Parag is nowhere near the pitch of the ball and just swings through the line. He is early into the lofted hit and does not get the desired power on the shot. Mid on had been pushed back on the fence after the boundary on the 4th ball of the over. Tilak Varma times the jump to perfection at long on and as he is about to lose his balance, he gets rid of the ball and steadies himself in the field of play before completing the catch. After 6 overs, RR are 54/3.

OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! First Jaiswal and now Sooryavanshi, both RR openers back in the hut inside 5 overs. MI are delighted and so would be PBKS and KKR. From over the wicket, angled away from the batter with a seam-up ball. Sooryavanshi hangs deep in the crease and tries to fight the angle by heaving across the line. The ball seams away to catch a leading edge and it goes behind point. Naman Dhir runs in off the ropes and there is another fielder converging from the inner circle but Dhir calls for it and gets low to take the catch.

Was there an edge? Banged into the deck, outside off, Parag arches back to play the upper cut but misses as the ball goes through to the keeper. Chahar seemed to have heard something, but got no support from anyone else.

Slower and fuller, on middle, Parag flicks it off the front foot to mid-wicket.

SIX! Hit with real authority! Into the surface, outside off. This sits up to be hit and Parag plays the front foot pull over long on for a flat six.

Chahar bangs this hard on a good length to generate some bounce, angling in. Riyan Parag makes room and looks to cut at it, but gets beaten.

And again! Just 6 runs and a wicket from the over. Chahar digs it in short, around off. Riyan tries to flay it away but misses once again.

Wide! Full and drifting down leg, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi attempts the sweep but misses.

Flatter and shorter, on middle. Sooryavanshi pushes at the ball with hard hands. Ekes out an inside edge and it goes in front of square on the leg side. They cross.

SIX! Good use of the feet! Floated up, on a length, on middle. Jaiswal dances down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and smokes it over mid off for a biggie.

Slower and wider on off, on a good length. Jaiswal cuts it straight to backward point.

OUT! CAUGHT! Jacks finally gets rid of Jaiswal. After bowling the previous ball at 97 kph, Jacks slows this one down and bowls it at 89 kph, shorter and just around the off stump. Jaiswal clears the front leg and has a swing at it. The ball stops a bit in the surface and turns away slightly to catch the leading edge. It balloons towards point, where Corbin Bosch takes a reverse cup catch on the edge of the ring. End of a 33-run opening stand.

A bit of turn. Fractionally short, on middle. Dhruv presses back and punches it to cover.

From around the wicket, on a nagging length, going across the batter. Jurel angles it to the man at short third. End of a successful over for Jacks and MI.

SIX! High and long enough! Chahar errs in his length while attempting the knuckleball. Pitches it up right in the slot, on off. Jaiswal clears the front leg and swings with all his might. Gets more height than distance on it but manages to clear the long off fence.

Better line and length from Chahar. Angled in at the sticks, on a good length. Yashasvi nudges it through square leg and turns the strike over.

Nails the wide yorker from over the wicket. Sooryavanshi digs it out to deep point for a single.

FOUR! Thumped! Chahar comes from around the wicket for Jaiswal. He goes searching for the yorker but fails to get it full enough. Jaiswal stays back and gets his hands through the ball. Creams the drive through covers for a boundary.

Takes pace off now and goes into the surface, over middle. Jaiswal hops to play the uppercut over the keeper but misses.

A dot to end the over. Chahar pushes it across the batter from over the wicket. Jaiswal tries one too many shots as he initially walks across for the scoop but seeing the line, he tries to angle the scoop past short third. He fails to get under the ball and toe-ends it beside the strip on the off side.

Flat and short, in line with the off stump. Jaiswal presses back and cuts it late, but can't beat backward point. Just a single.

A bit of air given this time, full and drifting into the pads. Sooryavanshi clips this through mid-wicket. They think about the second run, but the fielder in the deep keeps the batters down to a single.

Slower through the air, on a good length, a bit wide but sneaking just inside the tramline. Jaiswal shoulders arms.

A loud shout for LBW, turned down by the umpire. Hardik Pandya checks with the bowler and the keeper before deciding to go upstairs. Sliding on with the arm, on a length, attacking the front pad. Jaiswal gets down on a knee and goes hard on the sweep. He misses out on connecting and gets hit low on the front pad. This does look pretty straight. Waiting for the UltraEdge, says the third umpire as the tension builds. The third umpire opts for the split screen instead and is convinced that there is no bat or glove involved. Over to the Ball Tracking now. Well, the ball is clipping the top of the middle stump and it is umpire's call. The on-field decision is upheld. MI retain their review.

Wide! Sprayed down leg, Sooryavanshi offers no shot.

Very full, darted in at the toes. Sooryavanshi can only jam it out back to the bowler. Jacks is still not happy with that LBW decision and has a word with the umpire. A tidy first over from Will. Just 4 runs off it.

A hint of away shape first up for Chahar. Floated up from around the wicket, full and outside off, inviting the drive. Jaiswal resists the temptation and lets it go through to the keeper.

Jaiswal and the Royals are underway. Chahar drags the length back and brings the ball back into the left-hander. Jaiswal uses his wrists and turns it through mid-wicket for a single.

Sensational effort from Will Jacks! Chahar switches to over the wicket and bowls it full and across the left-hander. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi throws his hands at it but fails to get hold of the shot properly. Jacks leaps acrobatically at the deep cover fence. While there was never really a catching opportunity, he does brilliantly to flick the ball back into play before landing beyond the boundary cushions. The batters run only a single and Will saves five runs for his side.

SIX! Clean as a whistle! A hit-me delivery by Chahar as he goes full in search of swing. Dishes it out right in the slot, on off. Jaiswal puts his head down and with a clean swing of the arms, he launches it over the long off fence for a biggie.
